My name is Aaron Helstrom, and I’m running for Teller County District 2 Commissioner as a Constitutional Conservative, driven by a passion to serve our community and guided by my Core Principles of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, forged through my service as a U.S. Marine. Honor compels me to lead with integrity, ensuring transparent governance that rebuilds trust and prioritizes the needs of every resident. Courage drives me to protect our constitutional freedoms, standing firm for the values that unite us while fostering open dialogue across all perspectives. Commitment binds me to tirelessly serve We the People, empowering every voice in Teller County to shape a future of opportunity and fairness. As your commissioner, I will uphold the oath I took to defend the Constitution, working collaboratively to strengthen our community with principled leadership. Thank you for joining me in this journey to build a united, thriving Teller County rooted in integrity, shared purpose, and mutual respect.

Leading with integrity to restore honor and decorum in politics.
Safeguarding Constitutional Liberties
Building a Resilient Constitutional Community
Delivering Transparent, Constitutional Governance
The American story unites us—rooted in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As Frederic Bastiat wrote, government exists to protect our God-given rights, not plunder them. Yet division threatens our freedoms. George Washington cautioned against the “spirit of party” that could fracture our Republic, and John Adams warned that “liberty, once lost, is lost forever.” We see this in our nation’s politics and in Teller County’s debates. But most troubling is the quiet surrender of those who’ve stepped back.
To overcome this crossroads, we need solutions that not only address our immediate challenges but also build a resilient future for Teller County—one where our values thrive.
That’s why I’m running: to unite our community, protect our freedoms, and deliver results that honor our values. I believe, as Bastiat taught, that the law should shield liberty, not take from one to give to another. Government’s role is to secure our rights —life, liberty, and property. When it overreaches, cloaking control as safety, we must resist. Justice flows from accountable governance. As your Commissioner, I’ll meet Teller County’s challenges with a proactive heart, blending immediate solutions with long-term strategies to ensure we not only survive but thrive through any crisis.
God Bless the U.S.A.
