Why I’m Running

The American story unites us — rooted in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Yet division threatens our freedoms. George Washington cautioned against the “spirit of party” that could fracture our Republic, and John Adams warned that “liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

We see this in our nation’s politics and in Teller County’s debates. But most troubling is the quiet surrender of those who’ve stepped back.

To overcome this crossroads, we need solutions that not only address our immediate challenges but also build a resilient future for Teller County—one where our values thrive.

This is why I’m running:

I will uphold the oath I took to defend the Constitution, working collaboratively to strengthen our community with principled leadership.

Government’s role is to secure our rights —life, liberty, and property. When it overreaches, cloaking control as safety, we must resist. Justice flows from accountable governance. As your Commissioner, I’ll meet Teller County’s challenges with a proactive heart, blending immediate solutions with long-term strategies to ensure we not only survive but thrive through any crisis.

While this chapter of our campaign has come to a close, our work for our community continues. We are now focusing our efforts on establishing the Catamount Ranch Conservation Camp (CRCC) — a project close to my heart that will protect our natural heritage, provide hands-on education, and create lasting opportunities for our kids and families.
